Colgate-Palmolive in Mexico City is seeking a Collections & Deductions Analyst to manage customer balances and resolve deduction issues for top-tier retail and corporate accounts across the US and Canada. Reporting to the Jr.

Team Lead, you will drive cash flow improvements, perform root-cause analysis on AR balances, and collaborate with Sales, Logistics, Credit, and Customer Development to align on strategy.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2+ years in Accounts Receivable, Collections, or Deductions Management.
• Experience with root-cause analysis and portfolio risk assessment.

• Analyze, dispute, and clear open deductions across GTN promotions, vendor compliance, pricing, and inventory.
• Conduct root-cause analysis on AR balances and recurring deduction issues to optimize collection rates.
• Collaborate with Sales, Logistics, Credit, and Customer Development to align on account strategy.
• Prepare monthly cash estimates and perform payment reconciliations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data insights for cross-functional decision-making.

Collections & Deductions Analyst

Role Summary

As a Collections & Deductions Analyst on our Order-to-Cash (C2C) team, you will manage customer account balances and resolve deduction issues for top-tier retail and corporate accounts across the US and Canada. Based in Mexico City and reporting to the Jr. Team Lead, this position plays a critical role in optimizing cash flow and protecting financial performance across a portfolio generating over $180M in monthly AR. In this fast-paced environment, you will proactively identify collection risks, resolve complex deduction categories, and build strong cross-functional partnerships to streamline revenue management.

Responsibilities

Manage portfolio customer balances, issue past-due notices, and implement strategic collection approaches to drive timely payments while maintaining positive customer relationships.

Analyze, dispute, and clear open deductions across Gross-to-Net (GTN) promotions, vendor compliance, pricing, and inventory categories within strict deadline parameters across multiple portals.

Conduct root-cause analysis on AR balances and recurring deduction issues to optimize collection rates and improve cross-functional workflows.

Collaborate closely with Sales, Logistics, Credit, and Customer Development teams to align on account strategy and resolve operational bottlenecks.

Prepare monthly cash estimates, perform payment reconciliations, and maintain tracking tools to ensure data integrity and full audit compliance.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating existing processes and leveraging data engineering insights for cross-functional decision-making.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

2+ years of professional experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, or Deductions Management.

Demonstrated experience performing root-cause analysis and portfolio risk assessment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing high-volume portfolios in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or FMCG industry.

Proficiency in EDI systems, SAP, and customer dispute management portals.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to flex communication styles across diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Advanced analytical mindset with proven capabilities in data manipulation and process optimization.

Highly organized with strong adaptability to excel under changing business priorities.
