Formación

  • 5 años de experiencia en un entorno similar en una empresa multinacional.
  • Dominio del español y el inglés (mínimo nivel B2 en comunicación empresarial).

About this role

The position exists to manage the procurement activities for the relevant category/sub-category(ies) within M&S (Marketing and Sales) Cluster following Global category strategies and identified alternatives if required.

Responsibilities
Category Management Strategy

The incumbent is responsible for procurement activities of the assigned business sub-category(ies) within their cluster. Rolls out appropriate strategies set forth by the Cluster Category Manager, provides sound direction for the assigned sub-category, and ensures close collaboration with all associated partners. Applies Category Management principles, supports the development and implementation of Local Procurement plans as per Cluster directions. Works in close collaboration with the Cluster Category Manager to provide Cluster insights during Global Strategy definition and ensure that the supplier list is managed efficiently and effectively. Participates in financial planning and delivers benefits/value within their perimeter of action.

Supplier Management

Identifies and leads the local supplier pool. Negotiates strategic contracts and ensures optimum and sustainable supply conditions. Recommends timely strategic decisions where relevant to prevent procurement inefficiencies. Ensures security of supply and effective supplier relationship management throughout the supply chain. Demonstrates the ability to challenge the status quo, proposes and runs projects that contribute to both Procurement and business functions. Manages SRM with key suppliers in full coordination with Global/Regional/Cluster directions. Supports building of innovative & sustainable strategy with local suppliers and promotes any idea that could represent a competitive advantage for JTI.

Critical Metrics & Targets

Achieves set procurement targets and critical metrics. Develops and recommends strategic sourcing plans/decisions for assigned sub-category(ies). Leads and/or supports supplier bidding processes in close cooperation with respective business partners to ensure the best combination of quality, cost, and service conditions for goods and services are attained. Drives strategy implementation at the local level for assigned category(ies) within the cluster and monitors performance. Ensures corrective actions are taken when required. Ensures full compliance in the utilization of digital technology for sourcing events and performance reporting. Drives ad-hoc cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Business Partnership

Ensures business connectivity and fosters collaborative business partnerships with specific collaborators. Focuses on demonstrating the value of business partnership by developing a customer-focused approach. Aligns strategy with key business partners and ensures it meets business priorities. Establishes alignment and effective communication among the procurement organization, business partners, and suppliers. Takes preventive actions to avoid supply issues and resolves problems in due time. Assumes responsibilities for additional projects/tasks as assigned by the line manager and reflects core behaviors in all aspects of work. Acts as a GIP ambassador and drives the implementation of local/regional/global projects and initiatives when needed, ensuring liaison of Local partners with respective GIP category managers.

Market Intelligence

Shares Category intelligence, identifies trends and opportunities. Applies standard methodologies in procurement process management by applying the latest models and takes vital actions for areas of improvement. Conducts supply risk assessments, builds contingency plans, and finds alternative ideas and solutions in securing the best conditions for JTI, including extensive market research and proactive sourcing of innovative suppliers.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • University degree in Finance / Supply Chain / Procurement or a related field relevant to the role.
  • 5 years of proven experience in a similar environment in a multinational company.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English (minimum B2 level in business communication); Portuguese is a plus.
  • Strong strategic thinking and financial analysis capabilities.
  • Advanced negotiation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including partner management, decision-making, and project management expertise.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools and SAP.
