We’re recruiting engineers to join our Global Technology team in Mexico City as we open our McDonald’s Global Office in Mexico, a hub for technology innovation and operational support to improve the customer, crew and employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop marketing automation workflows focused on marketing communications and experience personalization, including push notifications, emails, and mobile app personalized experiences.
- Ideate customer segmentation to support Marketing Automation based on knowledge of pre-existing data structures.
- Translate business requests for marketing capabilities into clear technical requirements, including data properties needed for executing marketing automations.
- Solicit and document technical requirements to effectively capture and communicate marketing automation solutions/initiatives to key stakeholders.
- Ensure that all technical work aligns with business objectives and marketing strategies.
- Triage issues and defects—capturing, prioritizing, and remediating for marketing automations.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in marketing automation and personalization tooling.
- Hands-on experience with modern marketing automation & personalization SaaS tools: SF Marketing Cloud, Braze, Marketo, HubSpot, or similar tools.
- Understanding of modern CDP tools such as Segment, mParticle, and Tealium.
- Experience implementing marketing automation elements such as segments, audiences, and decision-splits.
- Strong understanding of marketing automation concepts and design principles; ability to translate structured data into marketing segments and other automations for personalized experiences.
- Frontend development skills related to marketing automation; proficiency in templating languages such as Liquid, Jinja, Handlebars or similar.
- Proficiency in core web technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with data interchange formats like JSON and XML; ability to integrate, manipulate, and manage complex data structures across systems.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in complex environments.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills to bridge business strategy and technical teams; hands-on experience with JIRA/Confluence.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with marketing automation concepts for mobile application ecosystems.
- RESTful API integrations between systems and ability to advise on best practices for new integrations.
- Experience with data formats including JSON and XML and the ability to integrate and manage data across diverse systems.
- Python proficiency is a plus.
