Johnson Controls in Mexico is seeking a Designer - Drafter COE to plan, direct and execute basic design projects for new product development, redesigns, and production modifications. You will support CAD deliverables, coordinate layout and packaging, and manage release coordination using EPIC with engineers and project managers.

Ideal candidates have a university degree or 2-year degree with substantial experience, CAD release knowledge, and strong communication.

Formación

• University degree with ≥1 year experience, or a 2-year degree with ≥6 years experience.
• Experience supporting basic design or drafting in product development or production modification.
• Working knowledge of CAD-based documentation and release processes.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain accuracy.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and changing design requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and execute basic design projects related to new product development, redesigns, and production modifications.
• Prepare and support CAD deliverables for internal stakeholders and customer-facing needs.
• Coordinate layout and packaging work to support product build requirements and design intent.
• Manage release coordination activities using EPIC and ensure documentation is release-ready.
• Perform CAD studies that support design decisions, project execution, and product improvement.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and design team members to resolve scope gaps and keep work moving forward.
• Monitor project risks and communicate changes early to keep timelines on track.
• Support accurate, organized, and release-ready design output that contributes to successful product builds.
