C# Developer Senior - Híbrido

Georgia-Pacific’s Software Engineering & Integration team (SE&I) is seeking a Software Engineer to join the team in Guadalajara, MX. You will collaborate with multiple technology and business capabilities to deliver custom software solutions that support GP’s Wood & Fiber Supply (WFS) team. WFS is key to ensuring that GP's 80+ mills maintain a constant flow of logs, wood fiber, and chips. WFS sources its wood from private lands owned by industrial, institutional, or individual landowners. The suite of applications developed and maintained by the team supports corporate and facility-specific capabilities, providing a variety of experiences and opportunities to obtain knowledge of our business and impact WFS’ performance. All engineers are encouraged to contribute to our repository of enterprise reusable assets.

GP’s Software Engineering & Integration team’s core competency is designing, building, delivering, and maintaining custom software solutions. We recently initiated our transformation journey, creating functions and capabilities that enable engineers to have major impacts on GP’s business performance. We seek to build functionality once, so engineers are encouraged to re-use their peers’ work and modify then scale it to meet new use cases. We focus on delivering profitable business outcomes by partnering with business analysts, delivery leaders, and quality engineers to build the right solution at the right speed.

What You Will Do

1. Collaborate with customers, partners, and cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver custom software solutions that drive high-value business outcomes.
2. Align technical solutions with business objectives, ensuring scalability, maintainability, security, and long-term value creation.
3. Identify and resolve complex technical issues, optimize system performance, and recommend strategies to reduce technical debt and accelerate feature delivery.
4. Lead and participate in code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure applications meet security and regulatory requirements.
5. Contribute to team growth by mentoring junior members, sharing best practices, and developing reusable assets to enhance efficiency and consistency.
6. Actively participate in Agile processes, including Scrum ceremonies and backlog refinement, to drive continuous improvement.

Who You Are

1. Proven experience developing software applications using VB.NET or C# (WebForms or Windows Forms).
2. Strong proficiency in SQL Server database development, including designing tables, views, and stored procedures.
3. Hands-on experience supporting and maintaining business-critical applications in production environments, including API development with decoupled architecture concepts.
4. Familiarity with Agile principles, DevOps concepts, and cloud-based application development.
5. Experience building and supporting applications in AWS cloud environments.

What Will Put You Ahead

1. Experience developing web and mobile applications using React, with a strong understanding of distributed delivery environments.
2. Proficiency in managing and maintaining web applications on Windows Server, including integration with AS400 and Db2 databases.
3. Background in integrating applications with PLCs and working with logistics or financial systems.
4. Strong understanding of writing unit tests to ensure reliability and performance for critical functionality.
5. Experience designing scalable solutions in complex environments, ensuring system stability and maintainability.
