Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Buyer to join our team in Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing the supply chain, reducing operational costs, and ensuring the efficient procurement of key inputs for our company. With a particular focus on sourcing metal and aluminum, this position is crucial for the success of our operations and the development of strong relationships with both national and international suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reduce expenses generated in purchasing operations, seeking cost optimization without compromising quality.
- Ensure timely and appropriate supply of necessary inputs for the company.
- Conduct international quotation and procurement of required products, specializing in metal and aluminum.
- Select suppliers for technical and quality evaluation, contributing to decision-making in strategic supplier development.
- Analyze and interpret supplier offers, including detailed cost breakdowns.
- Optimize sourcing options in terms of technology, quality, and costs.
- Search, evaluate, and select new suppliers that meet company standards.
- Perform comparative price analyses of materials and projects to identify the best opportunities.
- Maintain comprehensive control and manage the purchase of packaging, supplies, raw materials, machinery, spare parts, chemicals, among others.
- Approve purchase orders in accordance with internal policies.
- Continuously update the supplier catalog, ensuring the validity and quality of information.
- Collaborate closely with 2 purchasing assistants.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5 years as a Senior Buyer or in similar positions, especially with a focus on international purchasing and materials such as metal and aluminum.
- Age: Not strictly defined (Suggested range: 35-55 years, but open to candidates with relevant experience outside this range).
- Gender: Indifferent.
- Knowledge: Experience in managing clients and suppliers, with strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Skills: Analytical ability for offer interpretation and cost breakdown, proactivity, organization, and attention to detail.
- Technology: Proficiency in office tools and purchasing management systems (ERP or similar).
- Language: Knowledge of English will be valued for communication with international suppliers. German could be a plus.
