Job summary

AMETEK Inc. seeks a Planner Buyer to plan, schedule, and purchase materials for Hardy Process Solutions, ensuring material availability and on‑time delivery while balancing inventory. The role requires 3+ years in planning or supply chain, strong analytical skills, ERP/MRP experience (IFS preferred), and bilingual Spanish/English.

You will collaborate across functions to optimize inventory turns and report on supplier performance, with market-driven compensation in USD.

The Planner Buyer is responsible for planning, scheduling, and purchasing materials required to support manufacturing operations at Hardy Process Solutions. This role ensures material availability, maintains optimal inventory levels, manages supplier performance, and supports on-time delivery of customer orders while balancing inventory investment and operational efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Production Planning: Create and maintain production schedules, analyze MRP recommendations, manage backlog and priorities.
• Purchasing & Supplier Management: Issue purchase orders, manage suppliers, expedite materials, resolve shortages and negotiate lead times.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, manage excess inventory, support cycle counts and improve inventory turns.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse and Customer Service.
• Reporting & Analysis: Maintain ERP data and prepare inventory, supplier and backlog reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree preferred and 3+ years of experience in planning, purchasing, or supply chain.
• Strong analytical skills, ERP/MRP experience (IFS prefer), Excel proficiency, communication and supplier management skills, and bilingual spanish and english.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
