Job Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, performs varied purchasing assignments.
• Meet targets and achieve annual budget savings.
• Liaison between Engineering and vendors.
• Analyze demands and make purchases as required.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Work with purchasing good practices.
• Follow up on timely delivery from suppliers.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Perform other duties or special projects as requested.
• Attend meetings, phone calls, e-mails, and maintain records.
• Perform purchasing guidelines to achieve the company goals.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the sourcing or supply chain department;
• Experience in supplier development and cost reduction strategies;
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written;
• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a manufacturing environment;
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships;
• Ability to read and understand MRP, safety stock, sales order shortage reports, and engineering projects;
• Knowledge of PC and database programs, including MS Office;
• Must have excellent organizational and typing skills;
• Experience in an ISO production environment;
