Flex is seeking an experienced Buyer Indirect to join our Guadalajara team, supporting procurement for multiple sites from the Tlaquepaque access points. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and drive cost-saving initiatives while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

The role requires strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities, effective communication in English, and a proactive, results-driven mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Conversational English with effective communication skills.
• Experience in Direct or Indirect Purchasing; commodity sourcing experience will be preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, What-If Analysis).
• Intermediate PowerPoint skills with experience creating executive presentations.
• Proactive, customer-focused, and results-driven.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Manage procurement requirements from multiple sites, ensuring policy compliance.
• Conduct supplier negotiations to optimize lead times, pricing, payment terms, and supply conditions.
• Analyze quotations and select best sourcing options based on cost, quality, and delivery.
• Prepare reports and procurement analyses using Excel tools, including pivot tables.
• Provide support and excellent service to internal stakeholders.
• Execute tactical purchasing decisions and support corporate sourcing initiatives.
• Manage sourcing events, RFQs, supplier bidding processes, and contract negotiations within approvals.
• Conduct quarterly supplier performance reviews and support supplier development activities.
• Maintain procurement records, metrics, and reporting requirements.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through market analysis.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal customers to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Job Description

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Buyer Indirect located in Guadalajara, Toluquilla offices in Tlaquepaque. Reporting to the Commodity Manager Indirect the Buyer Indirect is responsible for managing purchasing activities and supporting procurement requirements for multiple sites. This role focuses on supplier management, sourcing, negotiations, cost optimization, and ensuring the timely acquisition of indirect purchasing; facilities and services, while complying with company policies and procedures.

What a typical day looks like:

• Manage and follow up on procurement requirements from multiples sites, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Conduct supplier negotiations to achieve optimal commercial agreements, including lead times, pricing, payment terms, and supply conditions.
• Analyze quotations, compare proposals, and recommend the best sourcing options based on cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
• Prepare reports and procurement analyses using Excel tools, including pivot tables and data analysis.
• Provide support and excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.
• Execute tactical purchasing decisions and support corporate sourcing initiatives.
• Manage sourcing events, RFQs, supplier bidding processes, and contract negotiations within approved authority levels.
• Conduct quarterly supplier performance reviews and support supplier development activities.
• Maintain procurement records, purchasing metrics, and reporting requirements.
• Estimate market values and identify cost-saving opportunities through market analysis.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal customers to ensure uninterrupted business operations.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
