Formación

• 3+ years’ experience in Logistics and Purchasing, especially Indirect procurement.
• Strong knowledge of transportation/logistics operations and indirect procurement processes.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage projects independently and drive compliance with procurement standards.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Develop procurement strategies for transportation modes: road, sea, air.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality, and service improvements.
• Research, select, and purchase competitive transportation providers.
• Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable prices.
• Lead improvement activities and workshops.
• Communicate globally (Spanish/English) in verbal, written, and in-person formats.
• Work independently and manage requisitions with status updates to management.
• Support the identification of new suppliers, services, and integration opportunities.

Position Summary

Transportation Buyer / Logistics Procurement Specialist

The Transportation Buyer is a regional procurement specialist responsible for sourcing and managing transportation and logistics services across YNCA. This role provides expertise in transportation commodities, supplier management, market analysis, and logistics procurement strategies.

The position collaborates with Logistics Operations, Central Logistics Engineering, Business Units, and Finance teams to identify competitive suppliers and drive improvements in cost, service, quality, and operational stability.

The main objectives of this position are to optimize transportation costs, improve supplier performance, ensure supply continuity, and support strategic sourcing initiatives across YNCA logistics operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop a very high level of skill and ownership for the relevant subject
• Prepare procure strategies of transportation modes: road freight, sea, air
• Provide expertise to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality, and service.
• Researching, selecting, and purchasing Competitive Transportation Providers
• Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating with them for the best prices
• Lead improvement activities and workshops
• Communicate globally (Spanish/English): verbal, written and in person (present)
• Work independently
• Processing requisitions and updating management on the status of orders
• Support the identification of new supplier, services, and integration.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Degree Requirements:

BS in International Relations, Foreign Trade Studies, Engineering (ME, EE, IE), or related field to be considered.

Previous Experience:

3+ years’ experience in Logistics and Purchasing especially Indirect

Travel Requirements:

Must be willing to travel within in MX, US, or other countries as required.

On Call Requirements:
