Job summary

Flex is seeking a Buyer Direct located in Juárez, North Campus to coordinate the procurement of direct materials, manage inventory levels, and maintain strong supplier relationships. You will place orders, review purchase orders, and track shipments to prevent production delays.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced English.
• Experience using Word, Excel and Power Point; ERP software.
• Ability to read, research and interpret general business journals and procedures.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations.
• Ability to follow written or diagrammed instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Plan the acquisition of raw materials and components.

Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Buyer Direct located in Juárez, North Campus. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager Direct, Buyer Direct role involves Coordinates activities involved with procuring direct materials, components and equipment.

What a typical day looks like:

• Responsible for planning the acquisition of the raw material.
• Maintaining optimal inventory levels and avoiding production lines shutdown due to lack of materials.
• Maintaining relations with the suppliers.
• Placing orders for necessary raw materials and purchased parts according to the requirements of the production.
• Receiving and handling the confirmations.
• Checking the purchase orders and modifying them according to the changes in the production plan with the help of the Shortage List and the Open Purchase Order List.
• Tracking shipments, urging them if needed.
• Regular, weekly check of the stocks, avoiding overstock.
• Minimizing the risk of obsolescence with the help of the weekly check of the obsolete report.
• Correspondence with the freight forwarders, warehouses, and in case organizing the transportation.
• Dealing with claims, settling debit and credit issues.
• Filing and recording all necessary documents.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Advance English.
• Use of the following tools may be required: Working usage of Word, Excel and Power Point, English language knowledge, data entry, ten-key, spreadsheet (PC), ERP software.
• Ability to read, research and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures.
• Ability to effectively present information and acknowledges to questions from groups.
• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and apply mathematical operations.
• Ability to apply common sense comprehension to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
