Job summary

The Buyer Direct role is based in Juárez, North Campus and reports to the Purchasing Manager Direct, coordinating activities to procure direct materials, components and equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ERP software.
• Ability to read, research and interpret business publications.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to present information to groups.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to procurement.

Responsibilities

• Plan acquisition of raw materials.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid line shutdowns.
• Maintain supplier relations.
• Place orders according to production requirements.
• Receive and handle confirmations.
• Review and adjust POs per production changes.
• Track shipments and expedite when needed.
• Perform weekly stock checks to prevent overstock.
• Manage obsolescence weekly.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and warehouses.
• Resolve claims and debit/credit issues.
• File and record all required documents.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Buyer Direct located in Juárez, North Campus.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager Direct, Buyer Direct role involves Coordinates activities involved with procuring direct materials, components and equipment.

What a typical day looks like:

• Responsible for planning the acquisition of the raw material.

• Maintaining optimal inventory levels and avoiding production lines shutdown due to lack of materials.

• Maintaining relations with the suppliers.

• Placing orders for necessary raw materials and purchased parts according to the requirements of the production.

• Receiving and handling the confirmations.

• Checking the purchase orders and modifying them according to the changes in the production plan with the help of the Shortage List and the Open Purchase Order List.

• Tracking shipments, urging them if needed.

• Regular, weekly check of the stocks, avoiding overstock.

• Minimizing the risk of obsolescence with the help of the weekly check of the obsolete report.

• Correspondence with the freight forwarders, warehouses, and in case organizing the transportation.

• Dealing with claims, settling debit and credit issues.

• Filing and recording all necessary documents.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

• Advance English.

• Use of the following tools may be required: Working usage of Word, Excel and Power Point, English language knowledge, data entry, ten-key, spreadsheet (PC), ERP software.

• Ability to read, research and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures.

• Ability to effectively present information and acknowledges to questions from groups.

• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and apply mathematical operations.

• Ability to apply common sense comprehension to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
