What do you get to do in this position?
- Maintain the MRP system, including purchase order creation, rescheduling, and expediting.
- Coordinate delivery of materials to ensure timely availability.
- Assess supplier performance and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Manage cost changes through CPC forms.
- Procure materials to meet customer requirements at optimal costs.
- Maintain inventory levels, address shortages, and support product evolution.
- Establish and maintain lot sizes, supply periods, and planning-bill demand.
- Handle business transactions with suppliers, including purchase orders, scheduling, invoice reconciliation, and order confirmations.
- Obtain supplier quotations as needed.
- Notify suppliers of engineering changes to drawings and specifications.
- Support product phase-out/in to prevent obsolete inventory and ensure new product availability.
- Provide management with price change and supplier status reports.
- Share open order information with suppliers.
- Adhere to Schneider Electric's guidelines on business ethics, material inflation containment, supplier performance, and certification.
- Support the implementation of commodity management containment programs.
Qualifications

- Related four-year degree, C.P.M. or CPIM certification, MBA, or technical degree is a plus.
- Working knowledge of MRP/MRP II, purchasing in high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Experience with JIT/JIT II, consignment, Microsoft Office, and legal aspects of purchasing.
- Experience in planning, purchasing, materials management, and problem-solving.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience.
- Desirable skills include presentation abilities, strong PC skills, and experience working with multiple plant locations.
