A leading company in Tijuana is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to develop and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage purchase orders. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, relevant experience in manufacturing, and strong negotiation skills. Formación

  • 2 or more years of experience in a similar position in the manufacturing industry.
  • Intermediate/Advance English (Essential).
  • Knowledge in market research and the supply chain.

Job Description:

Develop and evaluate potential suppliers/vendors for goods or services. negotiating with price, quality, reliability to reduce costs. Create and manage purchase orders. Ensure accuracy and completeness of purchase orders, including specifications, quantities, pricing, and delivery terms.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and evaluating new suppliers,
  • Negotiate prices, volumes, delivery times, and payment term to provide the best price and quantity
  • Review and analysis MRP requirements, generate and issue purchase order based on demand
  • Follow up with vendor for ship date on order and make sure it meets our production plan
  • Keep track and monitor order progress, ensure timely delivery. Communicate with suppliers to resolve any delays, discrepancies.
  • Review and maintain appropriate inventory level. Perform pre-shortage analysis and take a proactive position in resolving any shortage
  • Supports different departments if necessary, regarding purchased products
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, communicated regularly with suppliers to address issues, resolve conflicts, and strengthen partnerships
  • Take the necessary safety measures to prevent accidents, occupational diseases, and environmental contingencies within the company
  • Comply with safety, health and environmental control measures set out in the Company's RIT
  • Responsibilities may vary and increase according to the company’s needs

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics or similar
  • Intermediate/Advance English (Essential)
  • 2 or more years of experience in a similar position in the manufacturing industry
  • Intermediate level Excel proficiency
  • Knowledge in market research and the supply chain
  • Knowledge of MRP and ERP systems
