As a Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the expansion of our gastrointestinal health product portfolio in Latin America. Your role includes uncovering and cultivating new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships with clients and stakeholders, and driving revenue growth to help us become the third-largest global provider of gastrointestinal health solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy and execute the Global Market strategy in LATAM.
  • Drive dsm-firmenich’s entry/expansion plan for gut health in Latin America.
  • Identify and prospect potential clients, market segments, and target audiences that align with the offered products.
  • Guide new product launch processes to ensure rapid market penetration.
  • Act as project manager for specific projects, coordinating multifunctional support activities.
  • Develop concept ideas, gather consumer insights, and support applications.
  • Organize consumer events, roadshows, and marketing workshops in collaboration with sales.
  • Lead sales initiatives through to the delivery of the first order.
  • Conduct Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence to stay informed on trends and client needs.
  • Monitor competitor activity, evaluating their products, marketing strategies, and presence.
  • Act as the main point of contact with sales teams, establishing project priorities and accelerating sales.
  • Provide technical guidance and training on products, especially pre-, pro-, and postbiotics, to sales teams and clients.

You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Chemical Engineering, Nutrition, or related fields.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish and/or Portuguese (written and spoken).
  • Experience working with probiotics in B2C Pharma or Dietary Supplements companies, or in B2B ingredients companies, focusing on business development, R&D, innovation, or technical areas.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (~15%) based on business needs.
  • Willingness to work in Brazil (São Paulo - JK) or Mexico (Mexico City or Guadalajara).
