Flex is the diversified manufacturing partner of choice that helps market-leading brands design, build and deliver innovative products that improve the world. The Building Facilities Engineer will be based on Guadalajara North Site, Mexico.

Responsibilities include evaluating facility equipment designs, researching specifications, and guiding project teams while applying CAD/CAE tools in a manufacturing context. Fluency in English and experience in manufacturing are preferred.

Formación

• BA/BS in Electromechanical or Energy engineering.
• Intermediate English communication skills.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry.

Responsabilidades

• Research facility equipment specifications to define producible designs.
• Evaluate engineering proposals and data for industrial facility machinery.
• Assess feasibility of new or modified plant equipment considering costs and space.
• Provide technical facilities information for manufacturing techniques and materials.
• Compile data to establish performance standards for equipment.
• Stay updated on industry changes by reviewing publications.
• Use CAD/CAE software to perform engineering tasks.
• Guide projects and project teams.

Job Description

The Building Facilities Engineer will be based on Guadalajara North Site, Mexico.

What a typical day looks like:

• Research facility products or equipment specifications and performance requirements to define designs which can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods.
• Research engineering proposals, process requirements and related technical data pertaining to industrial facilities machinery and equipment design.
• Defines feasibility of designing new plant facilities equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning and other technical and economic factors.
• Provides technical facilities information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties and process advantages and limitations which affect long range plant and product engineering planning.
• Compiles and research facilities research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment.
• Studies engineering and technical publications to keep abreast of technical changes and developments in industry.
• Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Guides projects and project teams.
