Overview

The Brazilian Portuguese Game Linguist role translates content from English into Brazilian Portuguese for in-game and non-in-game materials. This in-house position is on a client-specific project and is expected to last 10 months, with potential for longer commitment. The role requires working at Keywords offices for the full duration of the project. The office is located at Calz. Gral. Mariano Escobedo 218, Mexico City 11320, Mexico. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team focusing on in-game content for a leading games publisher.

Responsibilities

• Translate, review and perform linguist tasks for in-game and non-in game content from English to Brazilian Portuguese to a high quality standard
• Be responsible for all linguistic aspects of the translations you are assigned to ensure the best possible quality is achieved
• Collaborate with other linguists on the project

Requirements

• Native level Brazilian Portuguese speaker
• Passion for games industry
• Educational qualification in linguistics or equivalent experience
• Experience in translation, copywriting or linguistics
• Excellent verbal and written linguistic skills both in Brazilian Portuguese and English
• Must be self-motivated and able to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills
