Jobtailor is seeking an experienced CAE engineer to lead virtual design, thermal management, and optimization of braking systems across full-vehicle platforms. You will develop high-fidelity CFD/FEA models to evaluate cooling architectures and correlate results with test data.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams and automation of workflows will be key. Advanced degrees and PhD candidates in mechanical/aerospace engineering are highly valued, with strong scripting and optimization skills.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or higher in mechanical/aerospace engineering with relevant experience.
• 3+ years in CFD/FEA or thermal CAE, automotive/aerospace context preferred.
• Solid background in aerodynamics, heat transfer, and material behavior.
• Proficiency with CFD/FEA pre-processors and solvers listed above.
• Python/Java/C++ scripting for automation and data analysis.
• Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork.
• Advanced degree holders preferred (MS/PhD) with relevant coursework.
• Hands-on with multidisciplinary design optimization tools like FRONTIER or HEEDS.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux environments and quality tools (DMAIC/DFSS).

Responsabilidades

• Drive virtual design and optimization of braking systems across platforms.
• Develop and execute CFD/FEA models for thermal, fluid, and structural performance.
• Provide data-driven recommendations based on simulations and tests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional design, release, testing, and supplier teams.
• Guide early design decisions and resolve performance issues.
• Automate simulation workflows and meshing with scripting for speed and accuracy.
• Apply optimization methodologies to balance cooling, weight, and cost.
• Correlate virtual results with physical tests to improve model accuracy.
