Ford Motor Company seeks an experienced brake systems engineer to provide deep technical depth for developing and implementing new brake technologies. You will collaborate with a global team to define requirements, drive pre-program work, and ensure AR readiness for programs and product cycles.

The role demands strong leadership, problem-solving, and experience with FMA and ISO 26262. You will coordinate with suppliers to align roadmaps and deliver robust, safe brake solutions.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in mechatronics engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of design and release (D&R) or development brake experience.
• Self-starter with ability to learn new tools and troubleshoot vehicle problems.
• Motivation to bring new technologies from concept to production quickly.
• Outstanding leadership and written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with FMA and related quality assurance processes.
• Experience in supplier management and cost negotiation.
• Awareness of ISO 26262 and functional safety in road vehicles.
• Experience with complex systems, analysis tools and problem-solving methods.

Responsabilidades

• Provide dedicated technical depth to develop, document, and implement new brake technologies.
• Collaborate with a global cross-functional team to develop and release new requirements.
• Lead GPDS pre-program work on programs using new brake technology.
• Work with brake supply base to meet requirements and develop right products.
• Ensure timely delivery of AR for brake technologies to support program delivery.
• Lead supplier advanced technology meetings to guide the supply base roadmap.
• Serve as a go-to technical resource for quality investigations and issue resolution.
• Champion FMA, Safe Launch, QOS, reliability, and robust brake system documentation.
