Formación

Company Description

Are you interested in new job opportunities outside of Mexico? We are looking for engineers with a broad background in BIW Manufacturing processes who are eager to relocate to the UK.

Job Description
  • Utilize your knowledge to plan, develop, and implement BIW assembly processes and facilities to meet safety, quality, timing, and cost objectives.
  • Provide feasibility assessments for product development designs to ensure manufacturing requirements are met.
  • Ensure robust process quality planning, including virtual build simulations and PFMEA analysis.
  • Support physical builds at workshops, pilot builds, and manufacturing plant locations, managing issues as needed.
  • Evaluate the suitability of manufacturing technologies such as joining, transfer systems, and logistics for various applications.
  • Prepare, issue, and evaluate supplier quotations (RFQs).
  • Verify assembly processes and equipment at suppliers and manufacturing facilities.
  • Assist in solving complex problems to achieve KPIs.
  • Support management activities through the development and monitoring of timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with company and departmental policies and processes.
  • Manage technical issues, provide guidance to team members, and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Achieve equipment capability targets for new and modified facilities.
Qualifications

Required:

  • An engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or higher, preferably in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or a combined Mechanical/Electrical qualification) and/or relevant engineering experience in BIW manufacturing.
  • Experience in delivering and launching BIW assembly line facilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience investigating quality issues, manual station cycles, and effective stakeholder management.
  • Project management experience in delivering new or modified equipment into production.
  • Ability to work within cross-functional teams and take ownership of tasks to achieve results.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workstreams effectively.
Additional Information

You will start your role remotely from Mexico and eventually relocate to the UK on-site.

  • 12 months+ contract (Fixed-term or IIR35)
  • Location: Birmingham

All candidates MUST reside and be legally authorized to work in Mexico.
