You will work within the finance team to ensure accurate records and compliance, applying advanced accounting knowledge and independent project management. The role requires a university degree and 5–7 years of relevant experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Typically a University degree (or equivalent work experience) and at least 5-7 years of relevant experience (or equivalent skills) are minimally required to carry out the role.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

About the role Job Summary

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for executing accounting tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting. This role ensures accuracy and compliance in financial records and supports the finance team in daily operations. This job profile is intended for specialist professionals that apply advanced knowledge of a job area. Required to manage projects / processes independently with limited supervision. Typically coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals. This job and its associated grade are specifically aligned with roles that have the following scope of responsibility: Small, Medium, Large organization.
