Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer for the MX Supply Chain BI team in Mexico City. You will build scalable data pipelines, analytics, and cloud-native solutions to turn raw data into trusted insights for daily operations across the Supply Chain.

You will work with large datasets on AWS, write production-grade Python code, and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functional areas to deliver actionable metrics and AI-ready data lakehouse capabilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years analyzing data with data warehouses and big data tools.
• Proficient in Python for data processing and modeling.
• Strong SQL skills to pull data from databases and warehouses.
• Experience building ETL pipelines and data models.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent Amazon experience in data/tech fields.
• Experience with visualization tools (Tableau/Quicksight).
• Experience with AI/ML technologies and cloud-based architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/big-data pipelines on AWS.
• Write production-grade Python for data transformation and ML workflows.
• Create high-quality datasets with metadata for stakeholders.
• Deploy cloud-native data solutions using infrastructure-as-code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business questions into analytics.
• Contribute to an AI-ready data lakehouse platform with governance.
• Write and optimize SQL/Spark queries for reporting and metrics.
• Follow engineering best practices including reviews, tests, monitoring, and docs.
• Identify opportunities to improve data availability and automate reporting.
• Support GenAI/ML initiatives by preparing governed data for AI workflows.
