ON.energy is seeking a Testing Engineer to support design, sizing, integration, and validation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Grid-Following/Grid-Forming (GFL/GFM) projects in its R&D lab in Villahermosa, Mexico. You will assist with test planning, risk mitigation, and data-driven iteration with the Test Lead.

The role emphasizes on-site collaboration, lab-based testing, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure robust product development and reliable field deployment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable experience in design, integration, testing, or installation of energy storage systems (BESS) or related areas.
• Knowledge of BESS, power electronics, and Grid-Following/Grid-Forming technologies; familiarity with NOM/NEC/IEC standards.

Responsabilidades

• Design, sizing, and integration of BESS and GFL/GFM solutions per project requirements.
• Develop test plans and coordinate testing using HIL lab assets; document test reports.
• Mitigate risks with laboratory validation; analyze data for firmware/hardware iterations.
• Create documentation and support training for commissioning teams.
