Formación

About the role of the Banquets Manager:

The Banquets Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all banquet events within the resort, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and seamless execution. This role requires a dynamic leader capable of managing a team, maintaining high service standards, and collaborating with departments such as Sales, Culinary, and Events Coordination.

What you will do:

  • Oversee all banquet operations from setup to breakdown, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Supervise, train, and schedule banquet staff.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and catering teams to ensure food and beverage service meets guest expectations.
  • Review banquet event orders (BEOs) and conduct pre-event meetings to confirm details.
  • Maintain inventory of banquet equipment and supplies, ensuring proper care and storage.
  • Manage banquet budget and control costs while upholding service standards.
  • Collaborate with sales and events teams to enhance offerings and guest satisfaction.

What you bring:

  • Fluency in Spanish and English is required
  • Minimum of three (3) years as Banquet Manager or similar role as a department head.
  • Two (2) or more years’ experience in a luxury hotel or similar environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Micros and Opera systems.
  • Understanding of food safety standards and health regulations.
  • Basic financial knowledge (e.g., labor costs, P&L, inventory).
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Proficiency in operating computer equipment.
