A leading luxury hotel brand is seeking a Banquets Manager at their Los Cabos location. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing exceptional banquet events and managing a dedicated team. This role requires fluency in both Spanish and English with a minimum of three years' experience in a similar position. About the role of the Banquets Manager:

The Banquets Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all banquet events within the resort, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and seamless execution. This role requires a dynamic leader who can manage a team, maintain high standards of service, and work closely with other departments such as Sales, Culinary, and Events Coordination.

What you will do:

  • Oversee all aspects of banquet operations from setup to breakdown, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Supervise, train, and schedule banquet staff.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and catering teams to ensure accurate food and beverage service aligned with guest expectations.
  • Review banquet event orders (BEOs) and conduct pre-event meetings to confirm event details.
  • Maintain inventory of banquet equipment and supplies; ensure proper care and storage.
  • Manage banquet budget and control costs while maintaining high service standards.
  • Collaborate with the sales and events teams to improve event offerings and guest satisfaction.

What you bring:

  • Fluency in Spanish and English is required for this position
  • A minimum of three (3) years working as Banquet Manager or similar role as a department head
  • Two (2) + years’ experience working within a luxury hotel or similar environment is considered an asset
  • Knowledge in Micros and Opera System
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations
  • Basic understanding of financials (e.g., labor cost, P&L, inventory)
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Requires knowledge of how to operate computer equipment
