Montage International in a luxury hotel is seeking a skilled Baker to prep, bake, and execute all pastry items according to the Executive Pastry Chef's directions. You will support morning pastry production for events and outlets and assist with bread production as needed.

The role requires extensive baking experience in high-end venues, the ability to read recipes, safely handle knives and equipment, and strong attention to presentation.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Extensive baking experience with high-end or hotel pastry.
• Ability to read recipes and follow directions.
• Ability to safely use knives and kitchen equipment.
• Good vision for appearance of pastries and food.
• Two years of restaurant cooking experience in a high-end setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality pastries for restaurant and events.
• Produce morning pastries for events and outlets.
• Deliver pastries to outlets and events as needed.
• Train new associates on breakfast station.
• Support bread production and dough handling.
• Maintain station pars and forecast needs for large events.
• Ensure sanitation and safety guidelines are followed.
• Inspect food products for appearance and freshness.
