Jobtailor is seeking a backend engineer in Mexico to design, develop, and maintain scalable Java services using Spring Boot and microservices patterns. You will build RESTful APIs, participate in distributed system design, and improve database access across MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL options.

You will own service interfaces, implement efficient messaging with REST and gRPC, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while mentoring juniors and driving performance optimizations across services.

Formación

• 2–4 years of backend experience with strong Java and microservices
• Proficient in Java OOP, concurrency, and multithreading
• Hands-on with Spring Boot and Spring Core frameworks
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and gRPC communication
• ORM with Hibernate and database interaction
• CI/CD pipeline development experience
• Docker for containerization
• Kubernetes for orchestration and deployment
• Understanding of distributed systems and domain-driven design
• Strong database skills with MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, microservices, and APIs using Java and Spring Boot
• Architect distributed systems for high transaction volumes, with reliability and performance
• Build and optimize service-to-service communication (REST, Kafka, gRPC)
• Design and optimize databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch)
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend applications
• Implement containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
• Lead technical discussions and influence engineering decisions

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, microservices, and APIs using Java and Spring Boot
• Architect and implement distributed systems capable of handling high transaction volumes, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance
• Build and optimize service-to-service communication frameworks, including REST, Kafka, and gRPC-based messaging
• Design and optimize database architectures using MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes for backend applications
• Implement containerization solutions using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes
• Drive system design discussions and technical decision-making across engineering teams
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and sharing best practices in backend engineering
• Troubleshoot production issues and lead performance tuning initiatives across services and databases

Requirements

• 2–4 years of professional experience in backend development, including substantial hands‑on expertise in Java and microservices architecture
• Strong proficiency in Java, including object-oriented design, concurrency, and multithreading
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Core frameworks
• Expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs and gRPC communication
• Experience with Hibernate for ORM and database interaction
• Proficient in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Working knowledge of Docker for containerization
• Experience with Kubernetes for orchestration and deployment
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and domain-driven design
• Advanced skills in MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch database management and optimization
