The ideal candidate will have expertise in data pipelines, CI/CD processes, and a strong knowledge of Azure services. This role will be 100% remote, but requires working during US Time zone work hours. Candidates for consideration must speak and conduct work in the English language.

The Role:

We are hiring an Azure Data Engineer to be a key member of our organization, working within Inviso project teams to help our clients derive meaningful business insights from large, complex datasets.

Our clients seek our expertise to help them build modern data and analytics solutions on Microsoft Azure. We collaborate closely with clients to understand their IT infrastructure, data estate, business objectives, and how modern Azure solutions can help achieve those goals. We support customers worldwide across Mid-Market and Enterprise segments, Commercial and Public Sector, and various industries. Azure Consulting Services is a rapidly growing line of services at Inviso, and we are looking for individuals with deep experience in Azure Data Services to assist our clients.

This role will be 100% remote, but requires working during US Time zone work hours. Candidates must speak and work in English.

Key Activities for this Role:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure, Databricks, and Fabric data services.
  2. Set up, design, and build CI/CD pipelines using DevOps or GitHub.
  3. Configure and optimize data science services in Fabric and Azure Databricks.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of data services.
  5. Unit test, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to data pipelines and services.
  6. Demo completed work with the client team.
  7. Follow team best practices and patterns.
  8. Collaborate and coordinate with the onshore team.

Key Qualities:

  • Strong knowledge of Azure, Databricks, and Fabric data services.
  • Experience with CI/CD deployment automation using DevOps or GitHub.
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Factory and other data integration tools.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for internal and external clients.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Critical and creative thinking.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively with limited oversight.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • 3-5 years of experience designing, developing, and deploying Microsoft data solutions.
  • PySpark, SQL, Python, ETL are must-have skills for this role.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD deployment automation using Azure DevOps and Git.
  • Proficiency in PySpark and data science methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure and Fabric data platform services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure storage services, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
  • Experience with T/SQL programming, including designing and creating SQL Server stored procedures and views.
  • Strong verbal and written English skills.
  • Knowledge of unit testing methods and techniques.
  • Knowledge of Data Vault data modeling methodology is a plus.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a related field.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and AI frameworks.
