Job summary

Quona Capital in Mexico is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design and operate the cloud platforms that support our AI products, integrating Claude as the foundation model, ensuring scalable and cost-efficient environments.

You will automate deployments, manage databases, and enforce security and observability, while collaborating with the Cloud/SRE team to meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years operating production workloads in AWS.
• Experience with Terraform/OpenTofu and CI/CD pipelines.
• Technical mastery of Claude and production LLM services.
• Desirable: FinTech experience and AWS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop IaC (OpenTofu/Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines for autonomous deployments.
• Integrate AI platform components, including API gateways and model routing.
• Administer RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL with automated failover and backups.
• Centralize credentials and design proactive monitoring (Secrets Manager, Datadog, Grafana).
• Collaborate with Cloud/SRE to meet CNBV, SOC 2, PCI compliance.

About the Role

You will design and operate the cloud infrastructure that supports our AI products. You will integrate Claude (Anthropic) as our foundational model, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-efficient environments, while eliminating manual dependencies to accelerate the development cycle across the engineering organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure & Automation: Develop infrastructure as code (OpenTofu / Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Docker/K8s) to enable autonomous deployments.
• AI Platform: Integrate core Artificial Intelligence components (API gateways, model routing, traceability) and optimize operational costs (caching, batching).
• High Availability: Administer relational databases (RDS/Aurora with PostgreSQL), implementing automated failover and robust backup policies.
• Security & Observability: Centralize credential management (AWS Secrets Manager) and design proactive monitoring (Datadog, Grafana) to prevent operational incidents.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Standardize architecture with the Cloud/SRE team and ensure regulatory compliance (CNBV, SOC 2, PCI) alongside Security & Compliance.

Required Profile

• Cloud Experience: 4+ years operating production workloads in AWS (EC2, IAM, RDS/Aurora, S3, Secrets Manager).
• IaC & DevOps: Proven experience with Terraform/OpenTofu, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and Linux administration.
• Artificial Intelligence: Technical mastery of Claude and advanced Prompt Engineering; experience operating LLM services in production.
• Desirable: Experience in the Fintech sector, advanced Python, and AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps, or Machine Learning).
