An established industry player is seeking a Public Areas Attendant to ensure the cleanliness and presentation of the resort's public spaces. This role involves daily cleaning tasks, restocking supplies, and supporting special events, all while adhering to safety and hygiene protocols. The ideal candidate will have a high school education and at least two years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a luxury hotel environment. About the role of Public Areas Attendant:

Maintain the cleanliness, order, and presentation of all public areas of the resort (lobby, hallways, common restrooms, lounges, elevators, etc.), ensuring a pleasant, hygienic, and welcoming environment for guests, visitors, and staff.

What will you do in this position?

  • Perform daily cleaning of common areas such as lobbies, hallways, public restrooms, event lounges, elevators, stairs, and entrances of the resort.
  • Restock necessary supplies in public restrooms (toilet paper, soap, towels, etc.).
  • Collect and dispose of waste in trash bins located in public areas.
  • Polish surfaces, doors, railings, mirrors, windows, and floors according to resort standards.
  • Report defects, damages, or maintenance needs in public areas to the supervisor.
  • Assist in the handling of special events by performing cleaning before, during, and after the events.
  • Comply with safety, hygiene protocols, and appropriate use of cleaning products.
  • Provide support to the cleaning department in other areas if required.
  • Report lost items according to lost and found procedures.

What will be necessary for this role?

  • High school education or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the position.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and cleaning chemicals.
  • Experience of more than one year working in a luxury hotel or similar is valued.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Work safely, prudently, and organized.

*This job requires applicants to have valid work authorization in Mexico, and Spanish is essential.*
