Job summary

OPmobility Lighting seeks a skilled Validation/Test Engineer to develop ENV and EMC validation plans and lead testing activities for automotive lighting projects. You will review customer requirements, coordinate verification efforts, and provide accurate test results and cost estimates.

Strong communication in English is essential; Spanish or Portuguese is a plus. BS in engineering (electronic/electrical) with 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or equivalent; electronic or electrical preferred.
• 5+ years of related automotive experience preferred.
• Experience preparing ENV and EMC test plans is required.
• Knowledge of LED applications and electronics integration.
• Strong communication in English; additional Spanish/Portuguese a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review customer requirements during pre-award and early design phases and develop validation plans (ENV/EMC).
• Lead test plan reviews with customers and obtain approvals.
• Support quotes by providing cost estimates for testing.
• Prepare reliability analyses for customer projects.
• Coordinate design verification and product validation testing with engineering teams.
• Track first time through (FTT) metrics and ensure test fixtures meet specs.
• Develop test fixture specifications and coordinate sourcing and approvals.
