Jobtailor is seeking an experienced automotive requirements engineer in Mexico to define, author, and govern product feature requirements for current and future vehicle programs. You will work with multiple engineering domains to translate needs into actionable, testable requirements and maintain traceability across the system.

The role requires 3–5 years in automotive product development, fluency in English, and hands-on use of DOORS or similar tools.

Formación

• Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Systems Engineering.
• 3-5 years of automotive product development with requirements lifecycle experience.
• Knowledge of automotive domains such as body, chassis, electrical, propulsion, interior, infotainment, or ADAS.
• Experience using IBM DOORS or comparable tools (Jama, Rhapsody).
• Coordinate deliverables, manage priorities and meet program milestones across teams.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 and INCOSE-aligned requirement practices.
• Strong MS Office and Outlook skills.
• Advanced English written and verbal communication.

Responsabilidades

• Define, author, maintain, and govern vehicle feature requirements for programs.
• Collaborate with Product Planning, Core Engineering, Systems Engineering, HMI, Software, Hardware, and Validation.
• Translate customer needs into clear, testable requirements and ensure delivery per milestones.
• Decompose needs into platform-level functional and non-functional requirements.
• Own creation, reviewing, approval, baselining, and tracking of requirements.
• Analyze requirements for clarity, consistency, feasibility, and traceability.
• Facilitate cross-functional requirement reviews and resolve gaps with stakeholders.
• Develop and apply consistent requirement-authoring standards and best practices.
• Maintain bidirectional traceability across customer, system, software, hardware, and validation.
• Assess changes for technical, timing, cost, and validation impact; manage through change control.
