Job summary

IAC Group in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León, Mexico, seeks a Paint Technical Manager to lead the automotive paint processes and maintenance. You will drive technical strategy, optimize parameters, and lead root cause analyses to reduce scrap and variability.

The role requires 5+ years in automotive paint processes and maintenance, with hands-on leadership of paint booths, curing systems, and related automation. English is preferred and collaboration across departments is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in automotive paint processes and maintenance.
• Knowledge of paint booths, application systems, curing processes and paint process parameters.
• Experience in troubleshooting and permanent resolution of paint quality defects.
• Experience leading technical teams and/or multidisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical strategy and continuous improvement of automotive paint processes and maintenance.
• Ensure process stability and optimization of critical painting parameters.
• Lead root cause analysis and technical problem-solving related to paint defects and process variation.
• Develop and implement actions focused on reducing scrap, rework and process variability.
• Drive improvements in productivity, quality, efficiency and operating costs.
• Provide technical leadership for paint booths, application systems, curing ovens, automation and associated equipment.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering to ensure process performance.
• Participate in new product launches, process validations and implementation of new technologies.
