Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Automotive Materials and Testing Engineer to join its advanced R&D team in Querétaro City, Querétaro. You will evaluate, select, and test materials used in automotive components to ensure performance, durability, and compliance with industry standards.

You will work with metals, polymers, and composites, develop testing procedures according to ASTM, ISO, SAE, analyze results, and collaborate with design and manufacturing to optimize component life.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in materials engineering or testing, preferably automotive.
• Strong understanding of material properties, behavior, and failure mechanisms.
• Experience with testing techniques: mechanical testing (tensile, fatigue, impact), thermal analysis, and chemical analysis.
• Proficiency in laboratory practices and equipment operation.
• Knowledge of automotive material standards and specifications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Characterize and test various materials (metals, polymers, composites, coatings) for automotive applications.
• Develop and validate material testing procedures and protocols according to industry standards (ASTM, ISO, SAE).
• Analyze test results, interpret material properties, and provide recommendations for material selection and design.
