Job summary

Motherson SAS is seeking an Industrial/Automation Engineer in Puebla, Mexico, to develop 2D/3D layouts and simulation models, design logistics systems, and drive material flow improvements for automotive assembly projects. You will collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering teams, validate layouts via simulations, and ensure HSE and ergonomic compliance.

Ideal candidates hold a B.E./B.Eng in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years in automotive (Tier 1 preferred) and experience with

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience in Automotive (Tier 1 - ideal).
• 2D/3D simulation experience with AutoCAD and Flexim; knowledge of Discrete Event Simulation.
• AMR/AGV systems and material flow automation knowledge.
• Basic industrial automation/PLC knowledge (Siemens, Rockwell).
• Experience with SAP ERP.
• FMEA, APQP, ISO/IATF, 5S, PMS processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop 2D/3D layouts and simulation models using DOE and other tools.
• Design and integrate logistics systems and automated material flow solutions.
• Implement layout changes and material flow improvements.
• Lead VSM and layout workshops to improve efficiency.
• Interface with customer technical departments for assembly process issues.
• Create MTM, FMEA and Process Flow documentation.
• Manage ECR/ECO changes, calculations, BOMs, and planning.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and ergonomic standards.
