Autoliv Mexico is seeking a Development Engineer to lead the design, validation, and release of production seatbelt systems, ensuring alignment with customer and internal requirements.

You'll coordinate design changes, drawings, BOMs and documentation, and work closely with Program Management, Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing and Launch Engineering to move projects from concept to production launch.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in product design/development.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, SPC, and engineering specifications.
• Proven experience in Root Cause Analysis and 8D problem solving.
• Advanced English proficiency with strong technical communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design, development, validation, and release of production seatbelt systems, ensuring compliance with requirements.
• Manage engineering design changes, including release of drawings, BOMs, and documentation through change management.
• Serve as primary technical interface with customers, supporting development and relationship management.
• Plan, execute, and analyze DV/PV validation testing, document results and ensure product performance and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support projects from concept through production launch.
