Job summary

Molex is seeking a Product Design Engineer to help develop and validate automotive connectivity products by translating technical requirements into practical design solutions. You will contribute to performance, manufacturability and reliability through design development, validation planning and disciplined engineering change management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience creating or modifying 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance-stack analysis and FMEA.
• Experience analyzing test results against requirements.
• Experience managing engineering changes and product documentation.
• Fluent English communication and willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify 3D models and 2D drawings using NX or CATIA.
• Document requirements, scope, feasibility and work plans.
• Prepare and manage engineering changes and documentation.
• Conduct FMEA, FEA, tolerance-stack analyses and design studies.
• Develop Verification Plans and analyze results with statistics.
• Support root-cause analysis using 8D and 5 Whys.
• Collaborate with global teams for development, transfers and launches.
