ON.energy is seeking a QA Engineer with strong Python skills and hands-on UI automation experience to design, build, and maintain automated test suites. You’ll work with developers and product teams to ensure high-quality releases through a mix of automated and manual testing practices.

The role emphasizes designing scalable automation, API testing, and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines. Collaboration in an Agile environment and clear test reporting are key success factors.

Formación

• 3–5 years of QA experience with a strong automation focus.
• Proficient in Python for test scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Selenium WebDriver.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies (manual + automated).
• Experience with test management/bug tracking tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
• Familiarity with version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with API testing tools/libraries (Postman, requests, REST Assured).
• Strong understanding of test design techniques (boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning).
• Good analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain automated UI test scripts using Playwright and/or Selenium with Python
• Build and maintain a scalable test automation framework (Page Object Model or similar design patterns)
• Perform API testing (Postman, requests, REST Assured) to validate backend functionality
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
• Identify, log, and track defects through resolution using tools like JIRA
• Analyze test results, debug failures, and maintain test stability (handling flaky tests, waits, synchronization issues)
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand requirements and define test strategy/coverage
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives)
• Maintain test documentation — test plans, test cases, and automation coverage reports
• Contribute to code reviews of test scripts and automation framework improvements
