This position reports to

Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

The work model for the role is: {onsite/hybrid/remote}. This role is contributing to the {insert product group/business area/division/function} in {insert region}. Main stakeholders are {insert main stakeholder groups if available}.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
  2. Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
  3. Assisting in preparing proposals/presentations of engineering projects.
  4. Utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.
Qualifications for the role
  • You have 3+ years of experience in similar roles.
  • You have understanding and experience with Pulp & Paper processes.
  • You have understanding and experience with Control Systems.
  • If you have programming experience with 800xA, it is a plus.
  • Experience with Advant Controller AC450 is an advantage.
  • You can communicate in English at an advanced level and in Spanish at a fluent level.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering completed.
