CommScope is seeking a Mechanical Automation Engineer II to join the Bermudez Team. You will design and build custom automation equipment for manufacturing fiber optic products, collaborating with global sites to improve quality, increase capacity, and reduce costs.

The role emphasizes hands-on bench testing, cross-functional design, and ongoing learning to stay ahead with AI-driven processes. Travel up to 15% is required.

Formación

• 2+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD.
• Ability to travel to global production locations to support project intake, development, and deployment, up to 15%.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, build, and test semi-automated equipment for fiber optics manufacturing.
• Produce concepts to improve quality, cycle time, and reduce costs.
• Lead design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Create design documentation including drawings, BOMs, assembly and maintenance instructions.
• Perform component selection (pneumatics, actuators, sensors) and hands-on testing.
