Descripción del empleo

Automation Engineer

What you’ll do:

1. Ensuring that the machinery produces quality parts in a safe manner.
2. Meeting the KPI objectives defined annually by the maintenance team.
3. Providing support to the maintenance team of the different processes of the plant (leather prepreparation, PU, sewing, assembly).
4. Working as a team with the AMG teams to define, organize, and prioritize the execution of activities focused on the support of the production lines.
5. Supporting the maintenance technician team in the resolution of significant failures.
6. Conducting downtime analysis for the main lines.
7. Defining and following up through an action plan of countermeasure activities for the reduction of recurring failures and downtime (Generation of GIS and 4D reports).
8. Working constantly on continuous improvement activities in the maintenance processes focused on improving the availability of equipment.
9. Participating in events to define new LDWS production lines.
10. Constant follow up of equipment standardization and application of lessons learned (Yokoten).
11. Defining PM and OPM routines.
12. Equipment refurbishment.
13. Teamwork with AMG teams and generating an effective communication channel that allows the execution of the production plan without setbacks.
14. Designing or modifying machine tooling in follow up to correct design flaws or improvements.
15. Developing planning, management, and prioritization skills.
16. Developing knowledge of manufacturing process documentation.
17. Ensuring machine availability time according to target KPI's defined by the maintenance department.
18. Continuous improvement in the development of the maintenance system.
19. Reporting of significant shift failures.
20. Analyzing significant failures according to the standard defined by the maintenance team.
21. Refurbishment of equipment.
22. Development of improvement activities in machinery.
23. Generating reports of significant failures for further analysis.
24. Providing technical support and guidance to the team of maintenance technicians and maintenance operators.
25. Development of PM and OPM routines.

What is required:

Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronic, or Maintenance Engineering, with a focus on safety. Proactive. Analytical. Knowledge of electricity, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Knowledge of pokayokes configuration. Knowledge of mechanical design and control. Minimum 1 year as a control or maintenance engineer.
