You will handle authorizations, communication with healthcare providers, and manage data entry in systems. Overview

Position Summary:

As the Authorization Coordinator, you will be responsible for accurately entering initial authorizations for patient evaluations into Infinite Database and Raintree (when applicable) and send email communication with Authorization to covering therapist within day received. (When authorization received after 4 PM EST then it tis to be entered first thing the next morning)

Responsibilities
  • Responsible to create patient profile in Infinite Database when Authorization for Initial Evaluation for MED A Only patient is received
  • Responsible to enter all necessary data to create authorization for initial evaluation
  • Data to be entered accurately and timely into Infinite Database for MED A cases and in Infinite Database as well as Raintree for MED B cases
  • Ability to handle high volume of email professionally and respond within same day of email receipt
  • Process authorization based on sheet with patient information received from our partners/vendors
  • Communicate appropriately and timely with team members
  • Ensure that provider responds affirmative on receiving authorization with scheduled time for evaluation visit
  • Follow escalation timeline for unresponsive providers as trained
  • Cross trained in entering revisit authorization as well
  • Provide coverage for other home care team members as needed
  • Enter all necessary information in MED B tracker accurately and timely
  • Participate in team meetings
