Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and report on internal audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and identify potential control weaknesses.
• Evaluate the efficiency and economy of operations.
• Identify and assess risks, developing recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.
• Conduct audit fieldwork, including data analysis, documentation review, and interviews with relevant personnel.
• Prepare clear, concise, and well-supported audit reports detailing findings and recommendations.
• Follow up on the implementation status of agreed-upon audit recommendations.
• Stay updated on relevant industry best practices, regulatory changes, and auditing standards.
• Collaborate with management to foster a strong control environment throughout the organization.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of the annual internal audit plan.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA (Contador Público Certificado) or equivalent certification (e.g., CIA) is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or a relevant accounting role.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO), risk assessment, and auditing methodologies.
• Knowledge of Mexican NIF and relevant business regulations.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and audit management software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues effectively.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
• Experience in manufacturing or related industries is a plus.
• Familiarity with the business environment in León, Guanajuato is beneficial but not required for remote candidates.
