We are seeking an Assurance Manager to join our LATAM Assurance team, supporting our regulated businesses across Latin America. The ideal candidate will help implement and oversee our second line of defense risk monitoring in the region, with extensive knowledge of the regulatory regimes governing financial services in Mexico and/or Brazil. We seek an ambitious self-starter with proven independence and teamwork skills, strong analytical and organizational abilities, and a solid understanding of Assurance or Audit practices.

This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate directly with Regional Leaders to develop scalable risk and compliance testing and monitoring solutions across various areas, maintaining regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders—including Compliance Officers, Payments Risk, Governance, Internal Audit, and other operational teams—to provide Senior Management with visibility into regulatory risk exposure and internal control status.

Key job responsibilities

• Maintain updated knowledge of relevant regulations, preferably in Mexico and/or Brazil.
• Understand and stay current on anti-money laundering, counter-terrorism, and consumer protection regulations.
• Contribute significantly to the design, development, implementation, and execution of compliance assurance testing, leading issue validation activities and reporting to Senior Management.
• Learn and understand business processes, regulations, and internal controls to develop meaningful tests assessing control design and effectiveness.
• Perform operational deep dives to identify gaps in compliance processes and services.
• Assess inherent and residual risks related to control deficiencies.
• Collaborate with Compliance Officers, legal, business, and technology teams to identify control deficiencies and root causes.
• Participate in process improvements, adopting best practices and innovative approaches.
• Use data analytics to enhance value and reduce costs of assurance activities.
• Manage multiple projects with precision and accuracy.

Minimum requirements

• 4+ years of experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or similar roles.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Fluency in English.
• Experience with Excel and SQL.
