Insulet Corporation is seeking an Associate Test Engineer to join the testing efforts for product development and modifications. The role covers manual and automated testing to ensure new products meet requirements and safety standards throughout development and lifecycle.

The candidate will contribute to validating development tools, participate in peer reviews, and work with cross-functional teams to define tests and improve software quality in an agile environment.

Formación

• 1 year of professional testing experience preferred.
• BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar field preferred.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and test development is a plus.
• Familiarity with source control, CI, and testing methods is expected.

Job Summary

Insulet is looking for a self-motivated Associate Test Engineer to be a part of the testing (manual and automation) efforts related to product development and product modifications. This position assists in the software quality assurance efforts related to new product development and product modifications for the Research and Development group. The position is responsible for ensuring that new products have been effectively and efficiently verified and validated prior to their release for shipment and that these designs effectively meet documented and implied user needs and requirements. Software quality assurance efforts are lifecycle-oriented beginning during product requirements development and continuing throughout its lifetime. This position will also be part of validating software development tools to improve the overall quality of software, including peer reviews, software hazard analysis, requirements traceability, software code analysis, defect tracking, software metrics, configuration management, and software tool validations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test database for automated validation test of software revisions.
• Creating and executing test plans, manual and automated test cases and generating test reports.
• Creating use cases and identifying gaps in use cases/test cases.
• Develop and execute test suite for iOS mobile application.
• Influence the definition of requirements and software design to maximize testability.
• Develop and extend test cases (protocols) and plans as software application features evolve.
• Build test frameworks and methodologies that will define the testing process used as part of the agile software development process.
• Work closely with the software development team to identify and correct defects.
• Collaborate with Development, QA and IT teams.
• Participate in product design reviews.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education and Experience: Requirements

• BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar field preferred.
• 1 year of professional experience preferred.

Skills and Competencies

• In depth knowledge of software testing methodology, test development, and test execution is a plus.
• Strong software skills including C ,C++ Java, Python, Swift or TestNG.
• Software test group experience.
• Proficiency with source control, continuous integration and testing methods (i.e., Git, Perforce).
• Familiarity with Continuous Build Systems such as Jenkins or Bamboo.
• Familiarity with IEC 62304, ISO 14971, FDA regulations and international standards applicable to medical device software development, verification and validation a plus.
