Job summary

Flex is seeking a Production Supervisor (Repair Area) to lead the repair operations in Guadalajara, North Campus. You will supervise technicians and engineers, drive safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction while coordinating with the Process Engineer.

This role requires a BA/BS, prior supervision experience in electronics manufacturing, and knowledge of production control systems. You’ll guide continuous improvement projects, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with safety

• Experience as Production Supervisor.
• Strong leadership experience.
• Experience in electronics repair.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Knowledge of production control systems (serials, flows, traceability).
• Knowledge in electronics specifications and standards.
• Experience in Floor shop systems.
• Experience in BAAN system (or SAP).

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Production Supervisor ( Repair Area )located in Guadalajara, North Campus. Reporting to Process Enfineer, Production Supervisor this role involves is responsible for directing the manufacturing operations performed in a shift or group of production lines, ensuring they reach volume, quality, and cost goals. Repair is responsible for leading the daily operations of the repair area, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and customer requirements are met. This position supervises repair technicians and engineers, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures timely resolution.

What a typical day looks like:

• Responsible for the production of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment.
• Manages a team of professionals (e.g., engineers/officers) to meet quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness requirements.
• Reviews daily/regularly plant operating performance, evaluate areas that may be impacting performance, and advise on changes in operating conditions that will improve efficiencies/quality.
• Troubleshoots/analyses operational problems and advises on their resolution.
• Holds regular discussions with operators to coach performance and improve operational understanding/capability.
• Evaluate ideas for plant improvements and work with qualified engineers to develop project proposals to encourage improvements and changes.
• Provides technical/operational advice to project teams.
• May act as principal interface between the operation team and the maintenance function.
• May train and coach junior operators and junior team supervisors
• Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply to meet customer requirements.
• Initiates and participates in process development and cost improvement projects.Assists in department budget planning and manage department expenses.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance of standards.
• Ensure that all manufacturing area personnel are trained and certified in their specific functions.
• Ensure that all manufacturing personnel adhere to all safety guidelines.
• Supervise daily activities of the repair department, including technicians and repair personnel.
• Ensure production schedules and customer commitments are achieved.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Experience as Production Supervisor.
• Strong experience as leader.
• Experience in electronics repair.
• Experience in similar position in electronic manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of production control systems (Serials, flows, traceability).
• Knowledge in specifications and standards related to electronics
• Experience in the use of Floor shop systems.
• Experience in BAAN system (or SAP).
