The Role

The General Lawyer position involves a range of responsibilities, including negotiating contracts, providing HR support, and offering corporate legal assistance. The individual will be tasked with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and legal agreements, ensuring compliance with regulations and safeguarding the company's interests. Additionally, they will provide legal advice on labor issues, manage conflicts, and ensure adherence to labor regulations.

In the corporate domain, the General Lawyer will assist with legal matters related to mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, and risk management. They will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure that all operations are conducted legally and efficiently.

Required Skills and Experience

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited university.
• Admission to the relevant bar association.
• At least 10 years of experience in the legal field, preferably in corporate legal departments.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
• Excellent contract negotiation and drafting skills.
• Deep understanding of labor and corporate laws.
• Ability to manage conflicts and provide legal advice on labor issues.
• Experience in mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

• Persuasive Communication: Exceptional skills in both written and oral communication are essential for negotiating contracts and presenting legal cases.

• Commercial Awareness: Understanding the business environment and how legal decisions can impact the company is a valuable skill for any corporate lawyer.
• Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: The ability to analyze complex situations and find effective solutions is crucial for handling complicated legal matters.
