As an Associate Buyer, you will be responsible for replenishing inventory through analyzing data and using business systems to make proper buying decisions. You will be responsible for buying products at the lowest costs, expediting product status with suppliers, and communicating/managing exceptions with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities:

1. Review daily purchasing reports and system recommendations to determine proper quantities and items to purchase, then create purchasing documents to send to suppliers.
2. Assist in executing stock replenishment, special order (SO), and drop ship (DS) buying as assigned, making buying decisions based on the most economical method considering quantities, order minimums, prepaid terms, and transportation modes.
3. Follow up with suppliers regarding order status and delivery, and communicate delivery information to relevant departments.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Business or a related field required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 1 year of purchasing experience within a supply chain environment preferred.
• Knowledge of industry including suppliers, customers, and competitors preferred.
• Knowledge of purchasing and inventory concepts is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving skills are required.
• Strong computer skills are required.
