Position: Assistant Banquet Manager

Be a part of something truly special! Join the dream team of Four Seasons Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol. This ultra-luxury ocean-front resort will include 96 beautifully appointed guestrooms and 61 Residences. Amenities will include three restaurants, five bars, three pools, an open-air fitness center designed by celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, Spa with ten treatment rooms and relaxation oasis, and The Clubhouse, which is designed as THE place to host spectacular weddings and events for up to 250 people.

Management level: Operations – Assistant Department Head with local package

The Assistant Banquet Manager will support the Banquets Manager in the day-to-day operation of the Banquets department, overseeing all events operations while ensuring guest satisfaction. She/He will demonstrate the following key characteristics:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and openly creating an atmosphere of mutual trust and teamwork.
  • Demonstrates superior knowledge of the Banquets operations.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead in a variety of situations with guest needs; flexible leadership style.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a Banquet management position in Food & Beverage.
  • Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, and accounting.
  • Ease in achieving objectives.
  • Be proactive.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong conflict and crisis resolution skills.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize workload and projects simultaneously and efficiently.
  • Excellent reading, writing & oral proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Assertive communication and effective interpersonal skills with a track record of successful client interactions.

Essential Functions:

  • Be constantly updated with assigned events and future events, in coordination with the Conference Service department.
  • Ensure all current financial and P&C policies are adhered to.
  • Update and correct management of the payroll system.
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.
  • Prepare reports according to administrative and operational needs.
  • Make storeroom requisitions, taking care of the financial side but ensuring the operational and service side.
  • Maximize and supervise resources for the performance of employee functions in the department, avoiding misuse and waste.
  • Responsible for verifying product rotation.
  • Carry out and supervise inventories of operating equipment.
