Flextronics - The Flex Company plans SpinCo, a new independent entity focusing on digital infrastructure for AI data centers. The Assembly Process Engineer will be based in Guadalajara North, reporting to the Process Manager, and will develop and implement mechanical assembly processes ensuring stability, capacity, quality, productivity and safety.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electronics, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience in mechanical and/or electronic assembly processes.
• Knowledge of Smart Torque Systems, PLCs, cooling, pneumatics, and KPIs.
• Focus on FPY improvement, cost savings, and productivity.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and operational performance.
• Provide specialized technical support to manufacturing and cross‑functional teams, ensuring timely resolution of process‑related issues.
• Lead and manage projects from planning through execution, ensuring objectives, timelines, and budgets are achieved.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, and process optimization.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and operational procedures.

Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission‑critical applications. The “Assembly Process Engineer” will be based in Guadalajara North, reporting to Process Manager, develop and implement mechanical assembly processes capable of ensuring process stability, capacity, and continuous improvement while meeting quality, productivity, and safety standards.

What a typical day looks like:

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and operational performance.
• Provide specialized technical support to manufacturing and cross‑functional teams, ensuring timely resolution of process‑related issues.
• Lead and manage projects from planning through execution, ensuring objectives, timelines, and budgets are achieved.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, and process optimization.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and operational procedures.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in mechanical and/or electronic assembly processes.
• Technical knowledge of: Smart Torque Systems, PLCs, Liquid Cooling Systems, Pneumatics, Poka‑Yoke Systems, Industrial Maintenance, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Scrap reduction.
• First Pass Yield (FPY) improvement.
• Cost savings and productivity enhancements.
• Customer satisfaction and support.
• Audit results and compliance metrics.
